Newsletter 5th February 2010
New classroom
Oak Class have now moved into the new classroom and have experienced the “wow” factor! We are incredibly pleased and proud of the new room – it is the culmination of dreams and hard work and will be an asset to the quality of provision of Nassington School for years to come. Our Friday assembly this week is a celebration for the children and a chance to say thank you to the people who have helped to realise the dream. Unfortunately, due to the size of the hall we are unable to invite parents to this. However, I am sure you have seen the notices in the village newsletter and around the village inviting the community to an open morning on Saturday, 6th February, 10.30am – 12.30pm. Please join us for refreshments and an opportunity to see our lovely room.
Kingswood
Although it may seem a while off at the moment arrangements for the residential trip to Kingswood are already underway. We would like to confirm the dates for this are 9th – 12th May, 2010.
Bags 2 School
The recent Bags 2 School collection raised £120. Many thanks to Jo Bell and FONS for organising this.
Ladies’ Night
The staff who attended the Ladies’ Night last Friday would like to say thank you to Debbie Clancy, Janine Buck and FONS for a lovely evening. It was great to spend a relaxing evening with so many people from the community.
Parents’ evening
We will be holding Parents’ evenings on Wednesday, 24th February, (5.00pm – 7.00pm) and Thursday, 25th February (3.30pm – 5.00pm). We will be sending a separate letter with a form to book your appointment with your child’s teacher.
Sports club
There will be no Sports Club on Tuesday, 9th February as we will be attending the Mini Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, 10th February.
Training day
This is just a reminder that Friday, 12th February is a training day for staff and therefore the last day of term for the children is Thursday, 11th February. We will be holding our family Assembly in the Church at 2.30pm on Thursday afternoon.
