Our PE lessons will be on Monday afternoons and Thursday afternoons but could be subject to change.

We will be using www.spellingframe.co.uk for our spellings this year. Children will be able to practise on their devices at home and complete the test in school. A new spelling rule will be issued weekly on Mondays with tests taken in school on Thursdays and Fridays. All children will also be issued with a spelling book.

We will be using Maths Shed and Times Tables Rock Stars in school during lessons and children will have the opportunity to engage with these sites in their own time to further their own progress and understanding.

We will be having a DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) session at least 3 times each week so please ensure your child has a reading book in school at all times.

Children are expected to complete and submit a weekly record. This is issued every Monday and the children have a week to complete it.

Our Year 6 children will be running a weekly tuck shop open to the whole school operating on Thursday morning breaktimes.

In the Spring Term, there will be the opportunity of 'Twilight SATS practice sessions' after school for those children in Year 6 who might benefit from it.

KS2 Choir will be running on Thursday lunchtimes this year.

Sports Club continues to run on a Tuesday after school at a cost of £4.75 and is bookable through Pacesetters. There will be the opportunity during the year for members of Rowan class to participate in external sporting festivals in various sports with Cross County and Triathlon this term.

Cello and Violin lessons are on Thursdays with Mrs Parsons.

Brass lessons are on Wednesdays with Mr Moffat.

Mrs Eastwood will be supporting Rowan class at times this year and Miss Parks will be helping with intervention sessions for small groups of children in maths and English.
